April showers bring May flowers
Monday, April 7th, 2014My boys
Friday, January 31st, 2014So the word busy… I never imagined it could mean more than it already did before having another kid. Yikes. Working, Braylan starting school, being up for hours at night with Grayson, house work, Dr. appointments, taxes, cooking… I could go on and on. I also reinjured my back. From 28 weeks on my back and sciatic nerve was terrible. This past month I’ve had a hard tine with lifting my chunky monkey.
So you will see a little of what we’ve been up too. Braylan has been exploring his feelings. I’m happy, I’m mad, I’m sad… I knows exactly what they all mean and tells me! His facial expressions usually say it all too! I have been taking pics of me and Grayson every 4 weeks to show his growth. Plus I always said I would never match my kids… and I did. I don’t like to always do it but I had to this once!
FAMILY: Dixon
Friday, November 8th, 2013Every year I get excited to shoot the Dixon family session. Last year we went to the beach and this year Jenna said she wanted woods and something more rustic. I took them to a place that is one of my favorites and right up the street from where I grew up. I love using the old garage door… the hill me and the neighborhood kids used to sled down and back where the first Boyne Falls School used to me.

Tuesday, November 5th, 2013Elleana: Snow White Themed Shoot
Thursday, August 8th, 2013As a little girl I wanted to be a Disney princess and my niece Elleana is no different. I had a last minute idea when my mom showed me a dress she got for her. Just out in my sisters yard we did a quick 20 minute shoot and it’s my favorite to date! She loved playing Snow White… I can’t believe she is 4 years old. My son Braylan followed her around and told her he was taking her pictures and to say cheese. Thank goodness she didn’t… oh the word cheese it makes me cringe. His toy camera taught him that! Darn thing. I have a theme just for Braylan coming soon and I can’t wait!

Mini Session ?’s and FAQ:
How long do mini sessions last?
Each mini session is 20 minutes long. There will be other sessions booked in the time slots around your session… so each session is timed.
Is there a limit to the number of people that can be included in the session?
Mini-sessions are limited to immediate families of 6 or smaller. If you have a larger family, I recommend you book a full session. $10 will be added for each person over 6.
How do we reserve our session?
Sessions are booked on a first come, first serve basis. All bookings do require a $50 retainer to hold your spot. You can pay via check, cash or paypal.
What should we wear to the Mini Session?
Bright colors look great! They provide visual interest and make your portraits “pop”! Try to avoid graphic prints and being to matchy. Only 1 outfit will be allowed for mini sessions due to the time restraints.
When will our online gallery be available and how do we get our CD?
2 weeks after your session your online gallery will be loaded. They gallery will be up for 7 days to make your choice.
CD’s can be picked up at the studio or you can pay $5 to have it shipped. There will be on option for your choice in the cart.
Can we purchase more images on our CD?
Yes! 10 images with the package price will be included… each additional image if desired can be purchased afterward for $10 each. Each mini session is different and the number of ending images will also depend. The number will not go over 15 to choose from.
my cupid
Tuesday, January 29th, 2013I’ve been on a good role taking pictures of my little man this winter. I’m a little proud of myself. Last year he hated my camera so I would give up for periods of time. Today my sister and neice had an “ice day” from school so before my husband went to work we dropped by the studio. I’ve had this idea since last Valentine’s day. I had the kissing booth last year… this year I thought we would keep it clean and cute. Tomorrow I will post Elleana’s take.
Cooper is ONE!
Sunday, January 20th, 2013Some people you immediately click with… I feel like from the moment I met Stephanie and Marc at their maternity session we have clicked. I have just LOVED taking their pictures! I have had the pleasure of photographing them and watching Cooper grow to one years old. He is such a handsome little dude. Every session he has been so happy! You will see how fun they are!!
