WEDDING: Karen+Chris

This wedding was at Castle Farms and was small but warm and full of love. It’s hard to explain when you meet two people that are so in love with each other that it makes you feel happy to be around them. It makes my job so super fun! They hired us for 4 hours and we got so many real awesome moments. You will see as you look through the post how happy they were on their big day… and Karen’s smile. I could not help but post so many pictures of her REAL not posed smile. Also the moment that Chris saw her walking down the aisle. I teared up along with him. SOOOO sweet!! They snuck out while their guests were finishing their dinner and got some pictures around the property as the sky turned into magical colors. That isn’t photoshop… totally real.

The picture’s below were taken at the same exact time. One by me and one by my second shooter. It’s a perfect example of the two different styles mixed into one.

I love fall sessions… but this year I was so busy running around because I got slammed at the last minute with a ton of sessions at once. I had a hard time saying no. This year I highly advise clients to plan ahead. I have a couple family sessions booked already for fall.

This is Abbie! She’s a Boyne Falls senior… we went to one of my favorite places to shoot outdoors. Her mom was so funny giving her poses to do beside me. I love that I can see parents with one eye and they don’t know I’m watching them. The leaves were bright and full of color… and the weather was beautiful.

There are two sessions in this one post… as you will see the two different logos. A little about that. I know it’s terrible for branding my business changing my logo and I try to stop. I reallllly do! Outside of photography I’m a designer and have so many ideas that I love change. I get bored and want to throw something new in the mix.

I have done three sessions starting with maternity for Brittany. I have gotten to know her and her family and they are great! Our husband’s work at the same factory on different shifts/departments. I also enjoy now trying to do the same pose for multiple sessions to watch them grow.

I was looking through my blog at my wedding posts and realized I didn’t update 2010 weddings. My New Year’s resolution is to stay on top of the blog way better so I’m going to just keep on going so I catch up.

I remember this wedding very clearly. It was my first summer wedding while being pregnant in 2010 and I was still in sick/tired mode. I take my profession super serious and did not let it effect me on the day. The only thing that got me was watching them zipline. The motion and trying to focus… standing on a hill while looking up. This wedding party was the first to do the zipline at Boyne Mountain. Keisha is awesome at planning/details/decorating and when I walked into her reception and saw the decor I was like, YES! I could have made this blog post way longer but I have read that a viewer loses interest after 30 seconds of looking at photos of someone they don’t know. True or false?? Leave me a message and tell me if you did. (I hope you didn’t but be honost!)

Davey, Mommy & Daddy

Yay! After all this time Ellen let me take a family pic along with Davey’s! This was the same day as we did the boys football pics out in my parents front yard in the leaves. Dave and Ellen have big rocks in their yard the we used… and we even got Morgan their pug in a couple. I love how smiley Davey is in these pics! OF COURSE I was acting crazy and using my silly tricks. It’s so fun to watch babies grow in pictures.

Meet sweet little miss Berkley. The little princess did so amazing at her session… as well as her big sissy Hadley. Aren’t there names so modern and amazing? I think so! I’m curious why people name their kids the names those choose and their process! Their mommy and I had been talking through email for a while and I knew she was bring some of her own hates and cute things. I smile when I look at this session because it was such a nice hour spent!

*This is session info and session pricing only based on weekdays (for weekend session add $20 to each price)… for wedding inquiries please contact me through my website coaphoto.com
*All sessions must be paid in advance for 2012 sessions (paypal button below for most payment types. Contact me for billing or to send me a check)
*If you do not call or show to your session you balance is non-returnable… If you let me know within 24 hours you will have a $200 credit to transfer to another date
* Please allow 2-3 weeks for editing your images
* October & November allow 3-4 weeks for editing
*Images will be placed in an online gallery for 30 days
*There is a $50 rush fee to get them ready in 3-4 days
*Editing includes minor re-touching and a mix of some B&W and other fun stuff
*Erika is the main photographer and WILL be at every session/wedding
*Christmas cards will only be done in time for Christmas if your session is before Dec1.
*A photo gift will be given to all returning customers
*Starting in 2012 I will be cutting down to 3 sessions per week so call or email ahead
*In 2012 I will also be taking very few weekend sessions
*I would encourage people to book in advance at least 4-6 weeks
*For newborn shoots please contact me with your due date so I can leave a spot open for you

Senior
The Center of Attention Photography senior gets more than just an average senior photo session. You will receive a one of a kind experience that will set your pictures apart from your classmates. Center of Attention Photography offers three exclusive packages for you to choose from:

the { STARTER } package $240 // 1 hour, 1 location, 2 outfits, online viewing gallery for 30 days, CD to print OR $200 print credit

the { DELUXE } package $350 // 1.5 hours, 1-2 locations, unlimited outfit changes, online viewing gallery for 30 days, CD to print AND $100 print credit

The time has finally come and your little one has arrived. The Newborn session is an 1-2 hour session devoted to capturing every little part of your little miracle. Being a mother, I understand it is hard to bring your newborn out into the world at such a young age. The lack of sleep mommy & daddy are experiencing doesn’t help either. However, a newborn baby takes the best picture during the first two weeks of it’s life. During this short period of time the baby will naturally curl up like she is in mommy’s belly. After the two week mark, most babies are learning to stretch their limbs making it difficult to get them into that perfect little position. I highly encourage you to schedule during this small window of opportunity.

It’s completely understandable that scheduling a photo shoot may be the last thing on your mind so please email or call while your still expecting to be put on a waiting list. Parents should bring black long sleeved shirts and/or black tank top for mom.

Sessions

WEDDING: Lauren+David

A cold rainy day in June, my sister and I were driving up to Bay Harbor praying the whole way it would stop raining. It was a Friday afternoon and the sun was hidden behind the dark clouds. You see for a photographer clouds are great… but the rain is obviously not. We arrived and set-up the “at first sight.” For those of you who don’t know what that is I will explain. These days we have the traditional see eachother as the bride walks down the aisle… OR before the wedding. I love these! Both are great because it defines the unique personality of the couple. I like sneaking away before the wedding and doing the bride and groom picture without everyone around. I feel like I catch so many more moments naturally between the love birds than I wouldn’t with the bridal party. Sometimes I get to sneak away at a normal wedding with couples too. Ok on to the good part… it stopped raing for the pictures and outdoor ceremony! We were so excited. The Inn at Bay Harbor is so breathetaking inside and out it probably wouldn’t have mattered anyway. As you will see this bride and groom may look like a couple other people in the photos… that’s because they are BOTH twins. Yeah I know……. AWESOME! I didn’t figure it out until we got the whole group together. They also made props and had cameras for their own photobooth. It was so fun to see their guests dress up and act silly. I love fun weddings!
