I love when people are in love… I love fairytales… I love the happy ending! I have had the pleasure of getting to know this super awesome couple. We first met when they came and booked me at the studio. I was very pregnant and Beth made Braylan a hand-maded blanket and brought it with her to that first meeting. Talk about melt my heart!! I took it with me everywhere I went that weekend and showed it off. Then they came up north for their engagement session on Mother’s Day. We meet at Boyne Mt. and I never had to make them kiss or snuggl in… they are so so so natural. Matt THOUGHT he wasn’t photogenic but I think the pics prove otherwise! The last time I saw them was on their wedding day. I will save the details for when I post those but it was a beautiful day.

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012Engagement: Paige and Dustin
Thursday, November 10th, 2011As I said below I am going in a super random order to post these blogs. I work off 3 computers and have started to delete my early work that has already been backed up before I had the chance to blog so there will be lots more to post from my other computer.
Ok… meet Paige and Dustin! These are our good friends. This past Sept. we were both in their wedding at Castle Farms. I didn’t photograph it because it would have been so hard standing up in the wedding party and shooting. I have to say it was super odd to just not have to do anything photo-wise at a wedding. It’s my second nature so I was a bit uncomfortable to be honost! I did get my camera out at the reception after the photographer left (didn’t want to step on toes during major parts.) I haven’t even had a chance to look through them… I’m waiting until my client weddings are done.
Business first! Anyways a little bit more about Dustin and Paige. My husband and Dus has worked together at the East Jordan Iron Works for the past 6 (I think-ish) years. Paige and him got together around the same time we bought our new house (Fall ’08) and I remember him bringing her here to see it for the first time. How time flies! These two were a HUGE help almost one year ago when I was in labor with my son. They were our first friends at the hospital and Paige (along with a few family members) was there until the end. And again…. HUGE POST!

Thursday, August 18th, 2011I’ve been terrible at blogging! I have so many sessions to upload I figured I would start somewhere. My laptop has been in getting fixed so I’ve been a little behind. My little man is popping up teeth and crawling like crazy! My summer is almost over in a blink of an eye. I am so lucky I choose my own hours and get to spend so much time with my son.
Ok now about this post… This is one of my best friend’s Brittany. Her and Eric met in collage and have lived in Ann Arbor for almost all of their relationship. She got a job up north and he stayed down state. Well fast forward a little. Eric decided to take work in Japan and before he left he popped the question. We didn’t have a lot of time to get these pictures so it was a last minute session right before he left in June. We had so much fun taking these!

Thursday, October 29th, 2009ENGAGEMENT: Aliona+Sean
Monday, September 21st, 2009Sometimes after I give someone their password for their online viewing album I don’t hear from them until they order… which is no fun. I’m left wondering if they liked them and I don’t get that instant reaction. I would have to say that’s the only negative behind this convenient little technology. I called Aliona yesterday to tell her I uploaded her pictures… we hung up. About a half hour later I got a call back.
She wanted to tell me how much she liked them… and it made my night. A lot of photographers I read about make clients come back to the studio and choose their products on the spot. I know how busy life gets and wouldn’t be able to make my mind up that fast.
Ok on to the session. I was hired by this couple to shoot their wedding maybe a month prior to their date? I’m not sure exactly but somewhere around a month. They wanted engagement pictures and I had such a full schedule that we did their shoot the weekend before their wedding. It was great because we got to know each other and it made their wedding day go so much smoother for formals shots because we knew what we wanted to achieve. Aliona is a very talented clothing designer (she made what you see them wearing) AND she made her own fabulous wedding dress which you will see soon!
Engagement
Thursday, July 9th, 2009Let me start out by saying what a beautiful day we had! I was starting to wondering when it would feel like summer?? I can’t believe it’s already July…
Last week I got to meet my Dec. 31st bride and groom… Amy and Rob. We had their engagement session at the studio and I had fun shooting them. I feel so lucky to meet so many people and make memories for them to have forever. It will never get old! I have had a lot of engagement/couple shoots lately
