These two were driving up from downstate the morning of their shoot and their truck broke down. They called to tell me they may be running late… they showed up on time… with a speeding ticket. OH MAN. I would have been in the worst mood ever! They were awesome. We joked around a little bit and started on our way. We went to a new location I’ve been wanting to sneak up to. It was a super fun morning with them! It’s so great to get to know people before their wedding… I feel like they are my friends on the day.
This is my “little” brother Josh! Him and Lindsey just got married this past weekend and I couldn’t wait to share these. I’ve been bugging them for 2 years to get their engagement pictures done and 2 days before their wedding they finally agreed. It was a beautiful night at their house… we were only out there for about 10 minutes at 8:30pm and I’m pretty impressed on how many we got! I am pumped to post some of their wedding pictures very soon.
First off I would like to say Thank You to McLean & Eakin Booksellers and Symons General Store in Petoskey for letting us use their beautiful stores. I was excited when Maggie told me where she wanted to go. I don’t usually shoot in places like this but I’m def. going to start looking around and doing more of these type of shoots! They wanted more candid feeling engagement photos. They were so playful and loving and I’m really happy with how the turned out! We shot a few with their cute pie baby Easton. She also love pinterest just as much as me and we’ve seen a couple of these on there… I love the inspiration!
I love when people are in love… I love fairytales… I love the happy ending! I have had the pleasure of getting to know this super awesome couple. We first met when they came and booked me at the studio. I was very pregnant and Beth made Braylan a hand-maded blanket and brought it with her to that first meeting. Talk about melt my heart!! I took it with me everywhere I went that weekend and showed it off. Then they came up north for their engagement session on Mother’s Day. We meet at Boyne Mt. and I never had to make them kiss or snuggl in… they are so so so natural. Matt THOUGHT he wasn’t photogenic but I think the pics prove otherwise! The last time I saw them was on their wedding day. I will save the details for when I post those but it was a beautiful day.
As I said below I am going in a super random order to post these blogs. I work off 3 computers and have started to delete my early work that has already been backed up before I had the chance to blog so there will be lots more to post from my other computer.
Ok… meet Paige and Dustin! These are our good friends. This past Sept. we were both in their wedding at Castle Farms. I didn’t photograph it because it would have been so hard standing up in the wedding party and shooting. I have to say it was super odd to just not have to do anything photo-wise at a wedding. It’s my second nature so I was a bit uncomfortable to be honost! I did get my camera out at the reception after the photographer left (didn’t want to step on toes during major parts.) I haven’t even had a chance to look through them… I’m waiting until my client weddings are done. Business first! Anyways a little bit more about Dustin and Paige. My husband and Dus has worked together at the East Jordan Iron Works for the past 6 (I think-ish) years. Paige and him got together around the same time we bought our new house (Fall ’08) and I remember him bringing her here to see it for the first time. How time flies! These two were a HUGE help almost one year ago when I was in labor with my son. They were our first friends at the hospital and Paige (along with a few family members) was there until the end. And again…. HUGE POST!
I’ve been terrible at blogging! I have so many sessions to upload I figured I would start somewhere. My laptop has been in getting fixed so I’ve been a little behind. My little man is popping up teeth and crawling like crazy! My summer is almost over in a blink of an eye. I am so lucky I choose my own hours and get to spend so much time with my son.
Ok now about this post… This is one of my best friend’s Brittany. Her and Eric met in collage and have lived in Ann Arbor for almost all of their relationship. She got a job up north and he stayed down state. Well fast forward a little. Eric decided to take work in Japan and before he left he popped the question. We didn’t have a lot of time to get these pictures so it was a last minute session right before he left in June. We had so much fun taking these!
