Engagement: Paige and Dustin

Thursday, November 10th, 2011

As I said below I am going in a super random order to post these blogs. I work off 3 computers and have started to delete my early work that has already been backed up before I had the chance to blog so there will be lots more to post from my other computer.

Ok… meet Paige and Dustin! These are our good friends. This past Sept. we were both in their wedding at Castle Farms. I didn’t photograph it because it would have been so hard standing up in the wedding party and shooting. I have to say it was super odd to just not have to do anything photo-wise at a wedding. It’s my second nature so I was a bit uncomfortable to be honost! I did get my camera out at the reception after the photographer left (didn’t want to step on toes during major parts.) I haven’t even had a chance to look through them… I’m waiting until my client weddings are done. :) Business first! Anyways a little bit more about Dustin and Paige. My husband and Dus has worked together at the East Jordan Iron Works for the past 6 (I think-ish) years. Paige and him got together around the same time we bought our new house (Fall ’08) and I remember him bringing her here to see it for the first time. How time flies! These two were a HUGE help almost one year ago when I was in labor with my son. They were our first friends at the hospital and Paige (along with a few family members) was there until the end. And again…. HUGE POST!

FAMILY: Alison

I love photographing the WHOLE family! I would like to take a quick second and thank Boyne Mountain for sending this lovely family on over to me! This family came from all over to meet at Boyne Mt. for a week this summer. We had the best weather and I have to say Grandpa there cracked me right up! I also call Grandma and Grandmpa’s that are at all shoots just that. I don’t know what it is… I also call my husbands, brother-in-laws (Jeremy) and soon to be sister-in-laws (Lindsey) Gram, Gramps, Aunts and Uncles by their titles too. Hmmm… I can’t seem not to?

WARNING! HUGE POST.

Remember this awesome family? A couple years ago I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding. Look at how little Kate was!

Fast forward to this past Sept! Andrea asked me to meet them at Sleeping Bear Dunes and I’m glad I did. Not only did I get to meet their new addition Max but I got to lay eyes on probably the most beautiful places Michigan has to offer. I’ve been to Hawaii and Florida and this place seriously took my breath away! This family is so loving and fun I hope you can tell by the photos you are about to view. I am totally down next summer to meet some families back at this location… plus I’m thinking I need my family pics here. :)

SENIOR: Danielle

I went to Boyne Falls School and can remember since I started my business every year when the first senior from Boyne Falls books a session. Danielle was the first this year and she was down for ALL my ideas. It was a super nice warm fall day and I had her climbing up trees, up a hill to get to the railroad tracks, climb up rocks for a waterfall AND jump in freezing cold water. Sorry Danielle… but again I love my job when I’m shooting because it is so fun most of the time!

SENIOR: Kyrsha

Meet Kyrsha! I have to say I get to photograph some pretty stylish people but this girl totally has the same taste as me. I got so excited when she would appear from her outfit changes. She also has one fun mom! The session felt like it flew right by. I have a few new outside places I love… you will probably start to notice as I catch up on posts. I have had one busy year and the inquiries keep rolling in. I am also not posting in order. I guess I’m a random blogger. You never know what season I will choose to post next.

Better color or black and white? I couldn’t decide!

FAMILY: Goering

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

I never know what to write on my blog posts unless they are personal posts or they are close friends… mainly because I feel like I always say the same thing. If you know me or have had the chance to meet me even once you know I love to talk! Soooo this shouldn’t at all be a problem! I need to really up my game and share the pleasure I have with each of my clients.

This is the Goering Family. These two boys know how to keep a girl busy. I love their energy and the action shots that we get from them! About a year ago they moved south and still fit me into their travel plans when they come to visit. I love that! The beach in Charlevoix is beautiful. Ahhh.
