Hi! My name is Erika and I am photographer of Center of Attention Photography. My blog is a way for everyone to view recent work and get to know me! I am the very proud mommy to Braylan. I have the most wonderful and supportive family and friends. I LOVE what I do and I hope you can tell!
Heidi and Dirk had one of the most beautiful days we had in July to be married on….. I usually have more outside/resort weddings but this year I will have a lot more church ceremonies. This wedding had so many great details… and there flowers were gorgeous! Dirk doesn’t like posey pictures but I slipped in a few for Heidi! 
I’ve known Heidi and Fred since I was in 10th grade…. (9 years) I aided for three years of high school for her AND I was in plays that she directed. My little brother also aided for her class so over the years we have kept in touch! I got really excited when she asked me to take her family pictures. Thad is one and a few months…. and he is adorable! I love his little smile…
I don’t have a lot of time to write about this wedding (it was sooo beautiful!) because I have not had power today… so I have so much to catch up on. I promised Ashley I would give her a sneak peak of her wedding so here are some of my favorites.
Sometimes after I give someone their password for their online viewing album I don’t hear from them until they order… which is no fun. I’m left wondering if they liked them and I don’t get that instant reaction. I would have to say that’s the only negative behind this convenient little technology. I called Aliona yesterday to tell her I uploaded her pictures… we hung up. About a half hour later I got a call back. She wanted to tell me how much she liked them… and it made my night. A lot of photographers I read about make clients come back to the studio and choose their products on the spot. I know how busy life gets and wouldn’t be able to make my mind up that fast.
Ok on to the session. I was hired by this couple to shoot their wedding maybe a month prior to their date? I’m not sure exactly but somewhere around a month. They wanted engagement pictures and I had such a full schedule that we did their shoot the weekend before their wedding. It was great because we got to know each other and it made their wedding day go so much smoother for formals shots because we knew what we wanted to achieve. Aliona is a very talented clothing designer (she made what you see them wearing) AND she made her own fabulous wedding dress which you will see soon!
I haven’t posted a personal blog in a while and I think it’s due. If you know me personally you know that I have the a cutie pie little niece Elleana. My sister and my brother-in-law asked me way before they were ever pregnant to watch their child… I of course accepted. Fast forward a couple years and here we are…
I’m so not a morning person! I’m used to staying up until 2-4am editing/placing orders/designing books/doing whatever I need to do for my business and having the pleasure of sleeping 8 hours. Now I’m up with the roosters! This last week my niece has started to keep my schedule… UT OH! My poor sister is up at night and we take a snooze when she gets here for a couple hours. That’s this week though! We shall see what happens in the week to come.
She doesn’t enjoy my computer room and so I haven’t been able to work during the day for the last few weeks…. or have I been able to book day sessions (sorry everyone!) I’m sure in a couple/few more weeks she will be so used to it at my house that everything will be great.
So here are some pictures from the last few weeks I’ve had her.
This little one and a half old kept her mom and me on our toes. At this age they are walking and ready to explore… I had to pull some tricks out of my hat! She is so cute!
Introducing Micha…. She is a very modern senior. Two things stuck out to me as soon as I met her on her session day: her eyes and hair. She has the most beautiful eyes and her hair is pretty awesome too I had fun shooting her session and chatting with her. Here are my favorites.
